Boccard Point – June 7, 2025

Hike Coordinator: Terry Andreucci

Narration by Terry Andreucci

This hike was originally scheduled to the Soda Mountain Lookout, but consensus from all the hikers led us to Boccard Point, which starts from the same trailhead. It was a little longer but more scenic!

Six hikers made this approximately 8-mile out and back, enjoying the views, wildflowers and physical exertion! We even discovered the ground nest of a Dark Eyed Junco sitting beside the trail!

It was another beautiful day!

The Boccard Point Six
How do you like your Dark Eyed Junco eggs? Speckled, I hope…
… but six hikers and only four eggs… I guess we’ll just leave these alone!

  1. It was a beautiful day with stunning views of Mt. Shasta! I showed 10.5 miles distance 🙂. Thanks for leading Terry and finding a more scenic view.
