August 7 Mt. Scott in
Crater Lake National Park is a moderate 5 mile in and out hike

Sept. 4 Cowhorn Mountain is
a moderate to difficult nine mile out and back hike and at the

the most beautiful hikes anywhere and the hiker who decides not
to make it to the summit can still enjoy wonderful views
including Crescent Lake, the Three sisters and Diamond Peak.
The trail is along the well-graded PCT so scrambling is limited
to the very top and is the only difficult part of the hike.
For more information, contact Jane Flewelling at 541-679-3070.
Sept. 18 Alta Lake is part of
the Seven Lakes West chain and is a moderate 8.4 mile hike round

the hike. The Hobbit trail is well named, it would be no
surprise to meet Frodo amongst the coastal spruce and
moss. Call Lois Soulia at 541-673-4197 for more
